QR Code

What is QR Code?

QR code stands for Quick Response code which is two dimensional barcode or matrix barcode. It is firstly developed for automobile industry by Toyota in Japan in 1994. QR Codes has faster access and much storage space than standard UPC codes. This code contains black dots in a white background which forms a square pattern. QR Code is a conversion of information in a matrix bar codes, by which we can access the information by pointing the camera on that barcode.


Imaging Device + QR Code = Information

A QR Code is read using a image sensor and a programmed processor. Then the camera sensor will point out the three dots and converts the black  dots into the binary numbers. Then this binary code is verified though a error correcting code. After all these steps, we can got the information. A QR code can store upto 7089 numbers where as UPC code stores only 30 numbers. We can encode our bookmarks, messages, contacts, calender events, facebook and twitter pages, e-mail and many more.

How to scan a QR code?

Microsoft Surface - Tablet or Laptop

On 18th June,2012 Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer announced its windows based tablets at Milk Studios, Los Angeles. These tablets are Surface RT and Surface Pro. Surface RT runs on Windows RT (tablet version of Windows 8) and Surface Pro runs on Windows 8 Pro. Surface RT uses a ARM processor while Surface Pro uses a Core i5 processor. Both the tablets has 10.6 inch screen. Surface RT has HD display and Surface Pro has Full HD display. The launch date of the tablets in not fixed yet.

The casing of Microsoft Surface will be of magnesium called "VaporMag".  These tablets comes with Touch Cover and Type Cover. Touch cover is a ultra thin keyboard with touch keys but Type cover is slightly physical keyboard. These are detachable keyboard which acts as a screen cover. A kickstand is also provided which stables the tablet at 22 degrees. This kickstand is .77 mm thin and built in with the body.

Surface RT contains microSD slot, usb2.0 port and a micro HDMI port while Surface Pro gets a microSDXC slot, usb3.0 and a mini display port. Surface RT  will configurable to 32GB and 64GB. Surface Pro cone with 64GB or 128GB. These tablets utilizes the metro interface of Windows8. Surface RT is much energy efficient than Surface Pro because of ARM processors. All are waiting for the release of this tablet. It might be the best tablet because it removes the difference between a tablet or laptop.

Jelly Bean to be next in your Android

On 27th June, Google has announced that their next android would be Jelly Bean in annual Google I/O conference. Jelly bean gets version 4.1 rather than 5.0 . It is an incremental update to Android ICS 4.0 . Google has made the user interface very smooth and fast. This fluidic UI named as "Project Butter".

We can resize widgets in jelly bean. The keyboard of Jelly Bean is same as ICS but feedback vibration is very smooth. It provides offline voice typing, which is a plus-point for it. iOS6 & WP8 has not the capability of offline voice typing. Also, it supports bidirectional language support.

Existing Windows Phone can not get Windows Phone 8 update

After a long revolution of mobile os , windows phone moves behind once again. The existing windows phone could not get windows phone 8 update. This will affect the sale of current windows phone.

But all existing windows phone get a mimic version of windows 8 called "windows phone 7.8". This wp7.8 lacks many features.

Although, with a conflicting drawback , windows phone 8 has many features. The new wp8 is NFC(near field communication) supported. WP8 has mobile wallet,updated start screen,encryption and secure boot.It also include internet explorer 10 with HTML5.0 . It also supports external sd card for more data.
