What is QR Code?
QR code stands for Quick Response code which is two dimensional barcode or matrix barcode. It is firstly developed for automobile industry by Toyota in Japan in 1994. QR Codes has faster access and much storage space than standard UPC codes. This code contains black dots in a white background which forms a square pattern. QR Code is a conversion of information in a matrix bar codes, by which we can access the information by pointing the camera on that barcode.

A QR Code is read using a image sensor and a programmed processor. Then the camera sensor will point out the three dots and converts the black dots into the binary numbers. Then this binary code is verified though a error correcting code. After all these steps, we can got the information. A QR code can store upto 7089 numbers where as UPC code stores only 30 numbers. We can encode our bookmarks, messages, contacts, calender events, facebook and twitter pages, e-mail and many more.
